By using this website or placing an order, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are written to be clear and straightforward, while reflecting the handmade nature of the work.

1. About Bloomfield Woodworks

Bloomfield Woodworks is a small independent woodworking workshop based in Wiltshire, United Kingdom. All pieces are designed and made by hand using traditional hand tools and techniques.

2. Handmade Nature of Products

Every item is individually handcrafted. This means no two pieces are ever exactly alike.

Natural variation in wood is expected and celebrated. This includes differences in:

  • Grain pattern

  • Colour and tone

  • Knots and natural markings

  • Subtle tool marks from hand production

These characteristics are part of the work and are not considered defects.

All dimensions provided are approximate unless explicitly stated otherwise.

3. Product Information

We take care to ensure product descriptions and photographs are accurate. However:

  • Colours may appear slightly different depending on screen settings

  • Natural materials will vary from piece to piece

  • Slight differences in size and shape are normal due to hand production

If you have any questions before purchasing, you are encouraged to get in touch.

4. Orders

An order is considered accepted once payment has been successfully processed.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order if:

  • A product is incorrectly priced or listed

  • There is an error in stock availability

  • We are unable to fulfil the order for any reason

If this occurs, you will be contacted and offered either a full refund or an alternative solution.

5. Pricing

All prices are shown in GBP (£).

Prices may be updated at any time, but changes will not affect orders that have already been placed and confirmed.

6. Payment

Payments are processed securely via Squarespace Payments and/or supported third-party providers such as Stripe or PayPal.

We do not store or have access to your full payment card details at any time.

Full payment is required before dispatch of goods.

7. Shipping & Delivery

All orders are carefully packaged and dispatched from our workshop in Wiltshire.

  • Dispatch time: typically 2–5 working days (unless otherwise stated)

  • Delivery is handled by trusted postal or courier services

  • Tracking information will be provided where available

Once an order has been dispatched, responsibility for the goods transfers to the customer.

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or local charges.

8. Returns & Refunds

We want you to be happy with your purchase.

If you change your mind, unused items may be returned within 14 days of delivery.

Before returning any item, please contact us first.

Unless the item is faulty or incorrect, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Refunds will be issued once the returned item has been received and inspected.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs where possible. We will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

9. Product Care

Wood is a natural material and requires simple care to ensure longevity.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Hand wash only

  • Do not soak in water

  • Do not place in a dishwasher

  • Dry promptly after washing

  • Occasionally treat with food-safe oil or wax

Failure to follow care instructions may shorten the life of the product.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including photographs, text, branding, and designs—is the property of Bloomfield Woodworks unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, reproduce, or use any content without written permission.

11. Website Use

This website is provided for general information and shopping purposes.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure content is accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that the website will always be free from errors or interruptions.

We are not liable for any temporary unavailability of the website.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Bloomfield Woodworks shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect or consequential loss

  • Any loss arising from use or inability to use the website

  • Any issues arising from misuse of products

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
